A member of the clinical faculty since 1995, Professor Annino is director of the Public Interest Law Center and director of the Children's Advocacy Clinic. Through the clinic, he teaches, supervises and mentors law students. He has won national awards for his work on behalf of children.

He served as the legal advisor to the state of Florida Human Rights Advocacy Commission and has practiced both as a public defender and in legal services advocacy. He is a 1983 honors graduate of the Florida State University College of Law.
