Our students are prepared for legal careers inside and outside of the classroom. Second- and third-year students have the opportunity to gain legal experience in Tallahassee and around the world through our extensive externship program. Many students also work part-time and during the summer as clerks. The legal experience students gain while in school is beneficial to their employment searches after graduation. With assistance from our Placement Office and alumni network, our students are extremely successful in securing their first jobs after law school. Our engaged and helpful alumni are the principal reason why, as reported in the Wall Street Journal, we are the nation's 25th best law school in terms of placing new graduates in jobs that require law degrees.
