Catherine Awasthi

Catherine Awasthi is a juris doctor candidate pursuing a joint M.S. in aquatic environmental science. As a legal intern at the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, Catherine drafted correspondence for rulemakings involving reauthorization and CZMA consistency. As a law clerk at Animal Legal Defense Fund, she reviewed discovery documents, took client statements, and prepared affidavits for litigation. Additionally, she worked on analyzing and strengthening Florida agricultural regulations.

Jake Balducci

I am a double 'Nole and second-year law student pursuing the Business Law Certificate. I am the Article Selection Editor of the FSU Law Review, and I have worked as a law clerk for full-service firm Ausley McMullen, personal injury firm Nooney Roberts, and a music attorney. I am primarily interested in entertainment law, corporate law, tax, wills, and intellectual property, but I am open to other areas and industries, such as data privacy, labor & employment, and technology.

Caylen Berry

My name is Caylen Berry and I am a 3L from Jacksonville, FL. I have strong interests in health law and employment law. I am a former teacher (AP Macroeconomics and U.S. Government) and I previously worked as a unit secretary and phlebotomist at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. I currently work as a teaching assistant for the J.M. program at the law school and as a law clerk at the Agency for Healthcare Administration.

Precious Chavez

Hi, my name is Precious Chavez. I am a final year law student at FSU College of Law. I am a first-generation law student and second-generation immigrant seeking a career in public interest law with an emphasis on policy and legislation. I am the vice president for the American Civil Liberties Union at FSU Law and during my time in law school, I have worked with non-profit organizations like the Innocence Project of Florida, the Southern Poverty Law Center, and as a policy intern at the D.C. Juliette Diaz

Graduation year: 2024
Anticipated start date: May 9, 2022
Juliette Diaz is a 2L pursuing the Business Law Certificate. Her interests include general business and corporate law, as well as intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, and contracts. Diaz has been selected by The Florida Bar Business Law Section as a Business Law Scholar, a scholarship only two law students receive from their respective school each year. She has also been involved with the law school, acting as a teaching assistant during 1L Orientation.

Katherine Hupp

Katherine Hupp holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of North Florida and a master's degree in public administration from the University of Colorado. While at FSU Law, Katherine has worked with the Public Trust Environmental Legal Institute of Florida, the Florida Division of Administrative Hearings, and the National Sea Grant Law Center. Katherine serves as an article editor with the FSU Law Review, competition chair of the Moot Court Team, and staff editor for the Journal of Land Use and Environmental Law.

Amanda Lowe

I am a 3L from West Palm Beach, Florida. I am interested in business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and securities law. This past summer I worked for NextEra Energy. At NextEra, I worked on drafting LLC Agreements, internal restructurings, Membership Interest Purchase Agreements, and divisive mergers. Currently, I am a Notes and Comments Editor for FSU Law Review, a Themis Bar Prep Representative, a TA for the Juris Master Program, and will be working in the FSU Law Business Law Clinic.
