Alva Striplin joined the College of Law in June 2021 as executive director of the Stoops Center of Law and Business. She is working to form the law school’s Center for Law and Business and to create a new executive education program that will include robust course offerings drawing upon our existing compliance curriculum and specialty programs. Both the center and the executive education program will bring elite academics, sophisticated legal practitioners and business leaders to the law school, thereby increasing the richness of our academic environment while showcasing our programs and students on a national scale. Striplin will build and manage a team that is committed to advancing FSU Law’s reputation and visibility in the field of business law. She will also help enhance the College of Law’s visibility by forming important external partnerships.
Striplin previously was chief executive officer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Big Bend and currently sits on the Leon County School Board.
