What has been the best experience you have had at the College of Law thus far?
The best experience for me has been our lunchtime panels and student organization meetings. Different organizations and administrative offices within the College of Law put on informational meetings or panels during our lunch break. I really enjoy this because it opens up what you can attend and be a part of and it does not extend your day to participate.

What has been your most challenging experience in law school thus far?
First semester finals were a challenge because it is a kind of testing that I have never done. You have to learn what information your professor wants from you as well as the structure of how they want you to present it. It is important to pay close attention to what they are looking for because, most of the time, there is no midterm or practice exam to prepare you for the final.

Which administrative office has been particularly helpful to you during your time at the College of Law?
The Career Services and Professional Development Office has been amazing! They reviewed my resume, and not only edited my resume, but also gave me suggestions for summer jobs, classes, and connections that were best for me based on my interests and background. They are great about reminders and information through email and social media.

Give one fun fact about yourself.
I am married to my high school sweetheart and our “child” is a Golden Retriever named Bubba.

Why did you become a student ambassador?
The College of Law Ambassadors had a big influence on me choosing to attend FSU for law school. When visiting the law school, I got the opportunity to not only meet someone that went to the same school for undergrad, but she also introduced me to other student ambassadors that were interested in the same areas of law or had similar backgrounds. I enjoy having the opportunity to show potential students why I am extremely happy with my decision to attend FSU College of Law. I also think that my area of interest in law is not very common among my peers and I love encouraging potential students to pursue the areas that interest them, even if it is not common in our law school.
