Ryan Rodenberg is a tenured professor with the Department of Sport Management at Florida State University. He also serves as a courtesy professor at Florida State University College of Law. Prior to academia, he worked as an associate attorney at Keller Rohrback LLP and assistant general counsel at Octagon. He also worked at Nike and the ATP Tour. His recent scholarship has been published in a variety of law reviews and quantitative journals. He serves on four journal editorial boards. Rodenberg's non-academic writing has been published in ESPN, The Atlantic, Sports Illustrated, and elsewhere. During the pendency of the 2018 United States Supreme Court sports betting case, he testified before Congress, filed two amicus briefs, and was interviewed on camera for a 60 Minutes segment. Rodenberg's current research focuses on sports wagering policy, tennis governance, and sports jurisprudence. He earned a J.D. from the University of Washington-Seattle and a Ph.D. from Indiana University-Bloomington.
