The FSU College of Law Election Law Center provides objective, evidence-based analysis of constitutional, statutory, and regulatory issues in election law, working with election administrators, legislators, and policymakers at all levels to improve election laws, regulations, and procedures. It ensures robust voting opportunities, promotes election integrity, and strengthens public confidence in electoral outcomes. Additionally, it offers unique learning experiences for FSU Law students, serves as a resource for election officials and lawmakers, develops comprehensive election law resources, and hosts conferences and training sessions. It aims to position FSU College of Law as a trusted authority on election law and enhance public understanding of the electoral system.

We are thrilled to announce the FSU Election Law Center Spring 2026 Conference, bringing together the nation’s most preeminent election law scholars, leading policymakers, top litigators, election regulators and administrators, and other experts to tackle the most pressing issues affecting elections across the United States.
This is a unique opportunity to engage with the thought leaders and decision-makers shaping election law today. A full schedule will be posted shortly. Don't miss your chance to participate in this landmark event.
Confirmed speakers include a member of Congress currently serving on the House Committee on Administration’s Election Subcommittee; two commissioners (former and current) of the Federal Election Commission; a sitting commissioner of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission; and senior leadership from Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC) and the Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP). The conference will also feature more than twenty of the nation’s leading scholars in law and political science.
Panel discussions will cover voting rights, election administration, election litigation, campaign finance, and institutional structures in a post-Callais world, among other critical topics.
Student Opportunities
- Florida Election Law Scholarship – awards high-achieving students who wish to pursue careers in election law.
- Election Law Externships – facilitate and fund FSU students to work with federal, state, or county agencies that deal with election law or campaign finance.
- Election Law Fellowships – provide opportunities for students to do research under Professor Morley at the Election Law Center.
