Bio

Sheena Kelly is the supervising staff attorney of the First Amendment Clinic at FSU College of Law, where she mentors the next generation of lawyers through hands-on, real-world experience. Kelly earned her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law, where she was a member of the law review, moot court society, and trial court team. She was inducted to the Order of the Barristers, a national honor society recognizing excellence in oral advocacy and legal writing.

Prior to joining FSU Law, Kelly worked as an assistant state attorney in Broward County, prosecuting cases involving juvenile offenders, habitual violent felony offenders, and prison release reoffenders. She later worked as an assistant attorney general for the state of Florida, where she litigated complex appeals in first-degree murder cases involving death sentences, providing trial support and legal guidance to prosecutors statewide, and appeared before both state and federal courts, including the Florida Supreme Court. 

Kelly earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Florida. During her time at UF, she served as President of Delta Gamma and was inducted into Florida Blue Key—the oldest and most prestigious leadership honorary in the state of Florida—recognizing her exemplary leadership and service to the university community.
