Why should a prospective student choose FSU College of Law?

The quality of life of an FSU College of Law student is truly outstanding. Aside from being in the capital, Tallahassee provides a variety of outlets for social and outdoor recreation. Student life is also supported by fantastic faculty and a focus on physical and mental wellness.

What factors were most important to you when considering where to attend law school?

Location, reputation, culture, and a strong career network. Attending FSU as an undergraduate, I was aware of the opportunities available to students in the capital. The reputation of the law school speaks for itself when I discussed what attending law school looked like with law professionals before and now, as I attend FSU Law. Speaking to students at FSU law before applying truly gave me a sense of the kind of culture that was enforced through students and faculty. Ultimately, I wanted to attend a law school that placed importance on professional and career development, and FSU College of Law truly stood out in this regard.

What has been the best experience you have had at the College of Law thus far?

One experience truly stood out to me was after I was admitted, but before I was a student: On the first day of Preview Day, I met Dean Henley from the Career Services Office, and I briefly told her about what interests I had and where I was from. On the Second day of Preview Day, Dean Henley found me in the crowd of admitted students and gave me contact information for an alumnus she thought would be great I contact. Dean Henley truly made me feel at home and welcome at FSU College of Law.
