Why should a prospective student choose FSU College of Law?

FSU College of Law is a place where you’re supported, challenged, and surrounded by opportunity. The culture is welcoming and collaborative; you’ll find classmates who share notes, professors who know your name, and mentors who genuinely want to see you succeed. Beyond the classroom, our location in Florida’s capital gives you access to courts, state agencies, and top internships just steps away from campus. FSU Law combines a tight-knit community with unmatched hands-on experience, making it the perfect environment to grow into a confident, capable lawyer.

What is your favorite thing about FSU Law?

My favorite thing about FSU Law is the lifestyle and work-life balance it promotes. Law school can be intense, but FSU really encourages students to take care of themselves and find balance. The atmosphere is relaxed and supportive. You can work hard and still make time to enjoy Tallahassee, connect with friends, or just unwind. Whether it’s taking a walk around campus, going to football games, or grabbing coffee with classmates, there’s a real sense that you can be ambitious and still have a fulfilling life outside of law school.

What has been the best experience you have had at the College of Law thus far?

The best experience I’ve had at the College of Law so far has been serving as the COGS (Congress of Graduate Students) Law School Representative. It’s given me the opportunity to be a voice for my classmates, advocate for resources, and help strengthen the connection between the law school and the broader FSU graduate community. It’s been really rewarding to see how student input can make a tangible difference, and it’s also helped me develop leadership and communication skills that I know will serve me well in my legal career.
