Why should a prospective student choose FSU College of Law?

A prospective student should choose FSU because of the abundance of opportunities it provides. Not only is the classroom challenging and rewarding, but its fruits are seen throughout campus and beyond. We can walk across the street to the courthouse or capitol and see our classroom topics argued and leveraged in the real world!

What factors were most important to you when considering where to attend law school?

Being challenged with a spirit of growth was extremely important to me when considering law school. That has been my overwhelming experience at FSU law. Professors engage in difficult theory and facts with the students with the pure intention of making us better. Whether using cold calling to engage quick complex thinking or opening office hours to socratic discussions, Professors understand the value of growth outside of our comfort zones.

What has surprised you about FSU Law?

I would say the most surprising thing about FSU Law has been how quickly I felt a sense of belonging. Moving to a new place, like nowhere I lived before, soon into the semester, I found myself having a sense of pride in the school and city. That was a result of the people I was surrounded by, as well as the spirit of the city itself!
