College of Law Welcomes SUG 2025 Class

We proudly welcomed 51 bright, motivated, and accomplished undergraduate students from across the country to FSU College of Law for the 2025 Donald J. Weidner Summer for Undergraduates Program (SUG), which runs through June 18. Now in its 34th year, this nationally recognized program continues to open doors and inspire the next generation of legal professionals. Over the next few weeks, participants will immerse themselves in a rich array of academic and professional experiences.
They will attend classes in legal writing, torts, and contract law; visit the Florida Supreme Court; and gain valuable insights into the law school admissions process and life as a law student through sessions with our faculty and administration. Students will also prepare and present oral arguments in our courtrooms, connect with judges and practicing attorneys during networking events, and hear from program benefactor Wayne Hogan (’72), whose generosity continues to make this experience possible. Beyond the classroom, participants will enjoy team-building events like a retreat at the Lakefront Park and a reception at the Challenger Learning Center.
We are deeply grateful to the many alumni and friends who take time to engage with our SUG students, and to our Office of Student Advancement for their exceptional work in organizing this impactful program.
