Darby Kerrigan Scott Announced as Co-Director of PILC

February 14, 2025

We are excited to announce that Professor Darby Kerrigan Scott has been named Co-director of the Public Interest Law Center (PILC). During her time with the PILC, Professor Scott developed and directed several clinics including the Farmworker and Immigrant Rights Clinic (2018-21), the COVID-19 Veterans Legal Clinic (2020-21), and currently the International Human Rights Advocacy Clinic (2022-present). In this role, Scott will be working alongside co-director Professor Paolo Annino guiding students as they earn academic credit while providing legal services to under-represented individuals.

Before joining the College of Law, Professor Scott served as executive director of the Legal Aid Foundation of Tallahassee, overseeing its programs, staff, and development. She also worked as program director at the FSU Center for the Advancement of Human Rights, where she focused on immigration and human trafficking.

"I have learned so much working with Professor Paolo Annino over the past seven years. I am thrilled for the opportunity to co-lead our Public Interest Law Center by his side, and work together to develop the next generation of public interest advocates."
