FSU College of Law Welcomes Back First District Court of Appeals
This week, we were honored to welcome three judges of Florida's First District Court of Appeal back to the FSU College of Law Advocacy Center to hear live oral arguments in our historic courtroom with our students in attendance. Judges Stephanie Ray ('95), Thomas “Bo” Winokur, and Raymond Treadwell presided over the proceedings, providing this annual learning opportunity.
Following the arguments, the judges and attorneys engaged in a Q&A session exclusively for FSU Law students, offering valuable insights into appellate practice, judicial reasoning, and the dynamics of courtroom advocacy.
Events like this demonstrate the unmatched advantages of our location in Florida’s capital city and reflect one of FSU Law’s greatest strengths: our ability to connect conceptual classroom learning from nationally renowned faculty with hands-on learning experiences.
The First DCA once called our Advocacy Center home, and it’s always a privilege to welcome them back to the place where so many of our students continue to learn what it truly means to practice law at a very high level.
