Kimberly Parsons rejoined Florida State University College of Law in the fall of 2024 as a Legal Writing Professor. She previously served at the College of Law, teaching both Legal Writing and Federal Income Taxation from 2002-2005.
Professor Parsons began her career as a tax, corporate, and business litigation lawyer with King & Spalding in Atlanta. She then joined the General Counsel’s Office of Emory University, representing Emory and its related entities in tax and business matters. Prior to returning to FSU, she worked in K-12 education, where she was the principal and head of operations of a private school. Professor Parsons is admitted to practice in the Federal Circuit, the Tax Court, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and the Supreme Court of Georgia.
