Mike Poche

Mike Poche joined the College of Law as staff attorney for the Election Law Center in February 2025 after a lengthy career in private law practice and the Florida House of Representatives. While working for the Florida House, he served as committee attorney and subcommittee policy chief with the Health and Human Services Committee. Poche also served as staff director for the Judiciary Committee for three years and as senior policy advisor for the Speaker of the House regarding criminal and civil justice issues during that time.

Most recently, Poche served as Florida counsel for a Texas-based hospital consulting firm focusing on Medicaid financing and other fiscal issues facing for-profit, not-for-profit, and public hospitals across Florida. Further, while in private practice, he litigated insurance issues, workers compensation cases, and general business and contracting issues in state and appellate courts across the state.
