Why should a prospective student choose FSU College of Law?
Students should choose FSU Law because the College of Law fosters a welcoming and inclusive student environment with many perspectives and backgrounds. Further, the student body is actively engaged in various student organizations, public service and professional clinics. Lastly, FSU Law is uniquely positioned in Tallahassee, just steps away from the Florida Supreme Court, the Florida Capitol, and numerous state agencies. This offers students unmatched access to externships, clerkships, and networking opportunities with lawmakers, judges, and legal professionals in the state capital.
What is your favorite thing about FSU Law?
My favorite thing about FSU Law, apart from the academic side, are our wonderful student organizations and all the great events that they put on throughout the academic year. These organizations and events allow students to bond, find a support system, and maintain a healthy balance between class work and extracurricular activities.
What has been the best experience you have had at the College of Law thus far?
My best experience at the College of Law so far has been competing in our annual intramural trial team summer competition. This experience allowed me to practice my trial advocacy skills and use the rules of evidence. Along with this, I had the pleasure of competing alongside my teammates and learning countless new techniques and information from them as well as my coaches.
