Welcoming New 2025 Law Faculty
We are delighted to welcome three outstanding new colleagues to the FSU Law faculty this year. Yuliya Guseva, Danielle M. Lyn, and Ariël Decoster bring a wealth of expertise across diverse areas of law, and their scholarship and teaching will be an invaluable addition to our community.
Yuliya Guseva will join the faculty in the spring, teaching corporations and securities regulation. Her work has appeared in top journals, including the George Washington Law Review, Boston College Law Review, YaleJournal on Regulation Bulletin, Journal of Corporation Law, and Stanford Journal of Blockchain Law & Policy. Prior to FSU, she served as Vice Dean and Director of the Fintech and Blocktech Research Program at Rutgers Law School (Newark).
Danielle M. Lyn joins us as a Visiting Assistant Professor and teaches a seminar on sports law. Her scholarship explores the intersection of domestic and international legal frameworks in sport, with particular emphasis on procedural justice in sports disputes and the convergence of U.S. and global sports law. Before joining FSU Law, she clerked for the Honorable Charles R. Wilson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Honorable DeAndrea Gist Benjamin of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. She is admitted to practice law in Florida and Pennsylvania.
Ariël Decoster is also a Visiting Assistant Professor, focusing on feminist legal theory, property law, and family law. Her research has been featured in leading, peer-reviewed journals, including Feminist Legal Studies, Social and Legal Studies, and Men and Masculinities. Prior to joining FSU Law, Decoster was a Ph.D. researcher at the University of Antwerp.
