Real Estate Law: Development, Construction, and Management
This course focuses on a range of laws and issues that apply to real estate development. Students will learn about the underlying property law, land use law, and environmental law regimes that impact real estate development in the United States. Among other things, students will explore property rights, zoning, eminent domain, entitlements, permitting and development orders, and issues related to contaminated properties. Students will also explore issues impacting real estate acquisition and financing, construction contracts and financing, property management, and lease agreements.
