Assistant Director
Alisa "Lisa" Duke

Lisa Duke moved from Fort Lauderdale to Tallahassee with her family in 2001. Her main area of practice since she graduated from the University of Florida College of Law in 1986 has been health care law, with a focus on transactional and regulatory work. She has represented hospitals, doctors, home health agencies, hospices, clinics, medical equipment providers and pharmacies, to name a few. Lisa has provided educational seminars to doctors, nurses and health care administrators on topics such as risk management, fraud, medical records and human resources. Early in her career she served as Associate General Counsel to the North Broward Hospital District (now “Broward Health”), a four hospital special district, where she took the lead on helping navigate the new demands of managed care. From there she moved to Broad and Cassel as part of their health care group with a focus on state and federal anti-kickback and fraud laws as well as labor law and health care compliance. Immediately prior to moving to Tallahassee, Lisa served for five years as in-house General Counsel for Medical Services of America, Inc, a large multi-state provider of health care services. At MSA, she created their first Corporate Compliance Program pursuant to federal requirements. In 2001, she opened her own firm as a sole practitioner to continue to provide legal assistance to her health care clients and others in Tallahassee. Lisa is a member of the Florida Bar.
