What makes FSU Law unique?
FSU Law’s location and community make the experience truly unique. Being right across the street from the Florida Capitol gives us incredible opportunities to work for and learn from the Attorney General’s Office and the Governor’s legal team, and the Florida Supreme Court is just a short walk away. Beyond the location, the FSU Law community is very tight-knit because of the small class sizes, making my peers genuinely feel like family. The College of Law also hosts many social events that give students the chance to bond beyond just our own classes and build connections with students in other years as well.
Why should a prospective student choose FSU College of Law?
A prospective student should choose FSU because the professors and deans genuinely care about students’ success and well-being. At FSU Law, the close-knit community makes it easy to build real relationships with professors, who are always willing to help and support you. The environment is so welcoming that students are always ready to help one another, which makes the law school experience feel collaborative rather than competitive. We also spend time together outside the classroom, whether at football games or community events, because the culture is so welcoming that we genuinely enjoy being together and building friendships beyond law school.
What has been the best experience you have had at the College of Law thus far?
One of the best experiences I’ve had at the College of Law has been attending office hours for Professor Wang alongside my classmates. Professor Wang is such a dedicated and engaging professor that many of us would regularly attend just to deepen our understanding of Civil Procedure and learn about his journey. Each week, we’d gather in his office, where he would prepare different kinds of tea while we talked through the material and connected as peers. Those moments truly reflect the supportive, family-like culture of the law school and have been the highlight of my experience so far.
