What factors were most important to you when considering where to attend law school?

I focused on finding a school that had a wide range of opportunities and excellence in multiple practice areas, accessibility of professors, post-grad job outcomes, experiential learning opportunities during the school year and over the summer, and the overall feel of the school. After touring FSU Law, it checked all of my boxes and consistently amazes me as a wonderful school with a plethora of opportunities both on campus and in the greater Tallahassee area.

What has been the best experience you have had at the College of Law thus far?

My favorite memory has been big/little reveal with the Women's Law Symposium! This is an on-campus student organization that hosts fun professional and social events for aspiring female lawyers, and I love the community within this organization. The big/little reveal was especially fun because it was early in the fall semester, and first-year students can have a second- or third-year student as their "big," to whom they can go for academic advice or social plans! We made vision boards during lunch, and my big is super kind and fun!

What is something about FSU Law that surprised you once you became a student?

I was surprised to learn about the sheer amount of student organizations and available daily opportunities! Everyday there is something happening outside of class hours whether that be a guest speaker or networking event, an advice panel from upperclassmen during lunch, or even opportunities to observe oral argument at the Florida Supreme Court or First DCA. Because FSU Law has a lunch break built into our schedules, it makes it much easier to have a day balanced with in-class learning and learning from others through organized events.
