Students will work with the Criminal Appeals section of the Attorney General's office and will be exposed to appellate practice in both the state District Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. Students will review records on appeal, write briefs and gain familiarity with appellate procedure and appellate motion practice. Students will critically observe one or more oral arguments and review them with an accompanying senior attorney. Each student also will be given at least one opportunity to argue before a court or in a moot court provided by the agency, with the opportunity for videotaping and review.
