All incoming students are required to have a new laptop computer with at least a 3-year warranty to cover your law school career. These computers will be used for note-taking, legal research, computer-based exams, and in-class participation.
Below are the MINIMUM requirements needed to support computing at the law school.

Only genuine, U.S.-English, French, Portuguese, Swedish, and British versions of Windows Operating Systems are supported. Tablet devices are not currently supported. Windows 10 S, Windows 11 S, Windows RT, Chromebooks, ARM processors, and Linux/Unix operating systems are not currently supported by the examination software used at FSU College of Law.
