Dabney Ware practiced employment law for almost 30 years, the majority of time having been spent with Foley & Lardner LLP, and has extensive experience with in both employment-related litigation and in counseling clients of all aspects of compliance with the myriad of federal, state, and local laws that govern or impact employment. While in Foley’s Labor & Employment group, she focused her practice counseling wage and hour; harassment and discrimination; employee counseling and discipline; workforce reductions, including disparate impact analysis; and workplace investigations. After 25 years with Foley & Lardner LLP, Ware decided to look for a different challenge and is clerking with the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida.
Ware graduated from the University of Florida College of Law, where she was editor-in-chief of the Florida Law Review. She holds an M.S. in Communication Theory and Research from Florida State University and a B.S. in Communication from Appalachian State University. She worked for almost ten years before attending law school, first as a program auditor for the Florida Office of Auditor General and then a variety of operational positions with First Florida Bank.
