Marshawn Young earned his bachelor of psychology and bachelor of law degrees from the University of the West Indies in Jamaica. During his time as a law student, Young was elected to the Mona Law Society Committee and the University of the West Indies Visions Club Committee. After working as a customer service representative resolving issues with business organizations for the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, Young was inspired to pursue business law. Young also drew inspiration from his employers, noting how the handling of business relations between different entities could be improved or better managed through the business law field. He believes that business matters should be handled with fairness and reason.
