Meet the Student Advisory Board
As the fall semester comes to a close, we want to recognize a group of engaged students who have been instrumental in helping the law school with our professionalism efforts. Our Raising the Bar Professionalism+ Program Student Advisory Board is comprised of law students from all three classes who provide valuable input on professionalism programming for all students. They helped coordinate and promote a wellness fair held in October, provided content for a social media campaign for Legal Professionalism Month in November, and are helping to promote a writing competition in which the winner will earn a scholarship prize and be published by The Florida Bar’s Henry Latimer Center for Professionalism. The advisory board is one component of our ABA-award-winning professionalism program, which was launched in January 2019 to assist students as they begin to form their professional identities. One of my favorite components of the initiative is that it introduces students to professional development resources and role models that will be beneficial after they graduate. Many thanks to the great number of alumni who have signed up to serve as mentors through the program and who assist with our professionalism efforts in other important ways.
