TALLAHASSEE - Eighty-four percent of current Florida State University College of Law students have just made cash gifts to the law school. Students contributed during an annual student drive held February 2-8. A record 41 faculty members made challenge gifts to inspire student giving.

“We’re all thrilled by this result, which represents an extremely gratifying expression of student support for our program,” said College of Law Dean Don Weidner. “The students warmly responded to challenge gifts by the faculty.”

Historically, the College of Law’s strong student giving rates motivate alumni to give to the law school. Florida State is the nation’s tenth best law school in terms of alumni giving rate, according to American Bar Association data.
