TALLAHASSEE—Florida State University College of Law graduates ranked  first among the state’s 10 law schools on the July 2009 administration of the Florida Bar  Examination. Florida State graduates have ranked first in the state on five of the last eight  administrations of the exam. 

Florida State graduates taking the July 2009 General Bar Examination for the first  time passed by a rate of 91.4 percent, according to statistics released Monday by the  Florida Board of Bar Examiners. The overall passing rate of all law school graduates taking the exam for the first time was 80 percent. The exam was administered July 28­29  in Tampa to 2,503 first­time takers, including 175 from Florida State.  

“We are very proud that Florida State Law students continue to achieve  outstanding results on the Florida Bar exam,” said Dean Don Weidner. “Special  congratulations and thanks go to our recent graduates for their superb accomplishment.”  

September has been an extraordinary month for Florida State Law. In addition to  being ranked number one on the Florida Bar exam, the school was ranked the nation’s 10 th “Best Value” law school by National Jurist magazine and the country’s third best  law school for Hispanics by Hispanic Business magazine.
