Florida State Law Student Wins National Writing Competition

TALLAHASSEE —Florida State University College of Law student Karlie Clemons, of Lake Wales, has won the nationwide “Energy and the Environment” writing competition for a paper that analyzes whether desalination is a viable option for Florida given the state’s climate change policies and future federal legislation. Clemons will receive $500 for winning the contest. 

The writing competition was sponsored by Hofstra Law School, WRM America and Congdon, Flaherty, O’Callaghan, Reid, Donlon, Travis & Fishlinger.
