Florida State University Law Professor Named Attorneys' Title Professor of Law
TALLAHASSEE — Professor Hannah Wiseman has been appointed the Attorneys’ Title Professor of Law. The professorship was established in 2005 by Attorneys’ Title Fund Services to recruit or retain an exceptionally productive legal scholar.
Wiseman teaches primarily in the areas of energy and environmental law. Her research explores the role of regulation in protecting the character of living spaces and environmental quality, from the sublocal to the national level. She is widely known for her scholarship on hydraulic fracturing, also known as fracking. She received her J.D. from Yale Law School, where she was a managing editor of the Yale Journal on Regulation.
“Thanks to the generosity of Attorneys’ Title, we are able to recognize Hannah for her wonderful scholarship and teaching,” said Dean Donald J. Weidner. “Professorships like this help us to attract and to retain the very best faculty members.”
