Florida Supreme Court Reception

On March 6, 2019, FSU Law hosted a welcome reception for the three newest Florida Supreme Court justices: Justice Barbara Lagoa, Justice Robert J. Luck and Justice Carlos G. Muñiz. Chief Justice Charles Canady and Justices Jorge Labarga, Alan Lawson (’87) and Ricky Polston (’87) also attended the event, where the full court mingled with students, alumni and professors. The reception was a wonderful opportunity to make connections with the new justices. 

The College of Law's location across the street from the Florida Supreme Court is a huge benefit for students. Justices enrich the FSU Law community by speaking and teaching at the law school, and attending events with students and alumni. They also regularly hire students and graduates for externships and clerkships.
