Rolando to Give College of Law Spring 2014 Commencement Address

TALLAHASSEE — Florida State University College of Law alumnus Margaret Ann "Peggy" Rolando, a 1978 graduate, will be the featured speaker at the Spring 2014 Commencement ceremony. The event will take place on Saturday, May 10, at 10 a.m. at the Tallahassee-Leon County Civic Center.

Rolando is a partner at the law firm of Shutts & Bowen, LLP in Miami, where practices in the areas of real estate, construction and community associations. She is currently the chair of the 10,000-plus-member Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar and has been a member of the Florida State University Board of Trustees since 2010. Rolando also is a founding member of the College of Law’s Board of Visitors and a frequent guest speaker at the law school. She is also a major donor to the law school.

"Peggy is a nationally recognized expert in real-estate law and finance," said Dean Don Weidner, "yet she manages to donate incredible amounts of time to Florida State University."

Immediately following the ceremony, the law school will host a reception for graduates, their families and their friends on the College of Law green
