TALLAHASSEE—Tampa attorney Ronald A. “Ron” Christaldi, a 1996 law school graduate, and wife Shannon Christaldi have pledged $25,000 to the Florida State University College of Law. The gift establishes the Ronald and Shannon Christaldi Endowment for Excellence.

The income generated by the endowment may be used at the discretion of the law school for any academic purpose.

“We are all very grateful for Ron and Shannon’s generous financial support of the law school, especially during a down economy,” said Dean Don Weidner. “With state funding declining, we must count on private support now more than ever. This endowment will strengthen our academic program and help us meet critical needs.”

“Shannon and I are proud to make this modest contribution to the Florida State College of Law,” said Ron Christaldi. “My personal experiences at Florida State were extraordinary and we feel blessed to be able to give something back to the people and the institution that enabled me to excel in my law practice. Knowledge of the law is a powerful tool that comes with responsibilities. One of those responsibilities is to aid others. Through this gift we hope to both assist others in their education and to help impart, though Florida State, knowledge of the law.”

Ron Christaldi is a partner in the Tampa office of Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP. He practices primarily in the area of health care law and chairs the office’s health care practice group.
