Studies show that 75% of law students experience significant stress and anxiety, a troubling trend that has increased nationwide in recent years. Florida State University College of Law Professor Lawrence Krieger is taking proactive steps to support students’ mental health and overall well-being.

FSU College of Law Hosts Preview Day

FSU College of Law recently hosted its Annual Admitted Student Preview Day, welcoming 90 prospective students from across the nation. This event provided a unique opportunity for admitted students to engage with faculty, staff, and current students while learning about the academic and extracurricular offerings at FSU Law. Highlights included a mock class with Professor Kahn, a student panel with current 1Ls, and a keynote address from distinguished alumna and President-Elect of the FL Bar Sia Baker-Barnes.

Alternative Spring Break 2025

During spring break, FSU Law students journeyed to Apopka, Florida, for the 2025 Alternative Spring Break Program. Visiting the Farmworkers Association of Florida, the students had a unique and impactful learning experience, exploring the legal and human dimensions of critical issues such as environmental justice, immigration policies, farmworkers' rights, and human trafficking. Participating students engaged in hands-on learning opportunities, including community gardening and a visit to an industrial nursery.

Election Law Center's Annual Election Law Conference Commemorates the 25th Anniversary of Bush v. Gore

Thank you to everyone who attended the FSU Election Law Center's annual Election Law Conference commemorating the 25th anniversary of Bush v. Gore. We were thrilled to welcome over 250 attendees from across the country, all eager to engage in a thoughtful and in-depth analysis of this pivotal case in American history. The conference was truly a remarkable event, packed with meaningful discussions and commemorative content. We had the privilege of hearing from a range of speakers who offered unique perspectives on the case.

Third Annual Business Law Symposium

The FSU College of Law hosted its third annual Business Law Review Symposium, focused on "Encapsulating Product Packaging Trade Dress." The event, which attracted over 500 attendees both virtually and in person, brought together leading intellectual property scholars and practitioners to discuss the protection of trade dress—the distinctive packaging, colors, or designs that define a brand’s identity.
