Why did you choose the College of Law?
I actually spent a month with the College of Law while I was an undergrad through the Donald J. Weidner Summer for Undergraduates program. This program really gave me insight into what it was like to be a student at Florida State Law. I loved the atmosphere and the location of the school, so my choice was easy.

How have you interacted with our alumni network?
While looking for summer jobs, I reached out to many alumni utilizing the College of Law’s alumni directory and they were all so quick to respond. They were eager to answer all of my questions and reach out to their network to assist me in finding potential job opportunities.

What has been your most challenging experience in law school thus far?
I would say adjusting to a completely different city has been my greatest challenge so far. I grew up in Orlando and went to undergrad at UCF so I never had to get used to a new city. It was tough at first because I didn’t know where anything was, but within a few months I got acquainted.

Which administrative office has been particularly helpful to you during your time at the College of Law?
The Career Services and Professional Development Center has been extremely helpful. They host many events to make sure you are on the right track when searching for internships. I had my resume reviewed by Dean Henley and she went above and beyond by connecting me to attorneys in the field I want to practice in.

What is a fun fact about yourself?
I was born in Venezuela and went back every summer until my junior year of high school.
