How have you interacted with our alumni network?
Being from the Tampa Bay area, it seems everywhere you go, you run into Florida State alumni. Last summer, I had the opportunity to serve as a summer associate in a downtown Tampa law firm, and many of the attorneys there were FSU alumni. Seminoles look out for each other, and the underlying bond built from simply having the shared history of attending FSU is something truly unique to this university.

What has been the best experience you have had at the College of Law thus far?
The College of Law has given me so many opportunities that I could have never imagined before attending. I’ve had the opportunity to work directly with international advocates in my clinic to further the advancement of human rights policy on a global scale. Additionally, I have been able to attend legal discussions with various state leaders.

What has been your most challenging experience in law school thus far?
Transferring was initially quite intimidating, but after my first year of law school my hard work paid off, and I was accepted to Florida State. Moving to a new city where I didn’t know anyone was a big adjustment, but the support I received from my family, friends, and the admissions staff helped me settle in quickly and start my academic career at FSU Law confidently.

Which professor has been particularly helpful to you during your time at the College of Law?
Professor Busch has been an incredible mentor and teacher. His Lawyers as Leaders class helped me grow as a professional and as a human being. He allows students to authentically collaborate as he provides compassionate and intuitive advice about being an attorney and community leader.
