Why did you choose the College of Law?
I chose Florida State Law based on the positive impressions and experiences that were shared from sources that I respect. When thinking of the type of environment that inhabits the Florida State Law program, I envisioned a community that both fosters and produces instances of individual thought while maintaining an atmosphere of positive interactions with peers. I am glad that the experience I have had here so far mirrors the impression I was given and I look forward to continuing my education here at Florida State Law and sharing my acquired wisdom with prospective students.

How have you interacted with our alumni network?
I have had numerous interactions with the alumni network. From meeting the inspiring individuals at my Black Law Students Association induction to the personal connection I made with a mentor through the Association for Criminal Justice mentor program. The Florida State Law alumni network is so vast and every informational meeting I attend is filled with individuals talking about how much they love their jobs and how amazing their experience was here at Florida State Law.

What has been your most challenging experience in law school thus far?
The most challenging experience that I have been faced with thus far has been adjusting to the education style of a law school. Many of my professors have VERY different styles of teaching and organizing a class. Acclimating myself to each one has proven to be a difficult hurdle. In spite of this, I am confident that this exposure to shifting teaching styles will better prepare me for my career because I will work with various managerial styles and adjusting to them is essential to succeeding in the workplace.

Which administrative office has been particularly helpful to you during your time at the College of Law?
The Office of Admissions has been particularly helpful to me during my time here at the College of Law. When I was first accepted, everything was very last minute for me. I did not really know who else to call, so I would bombard them numerous times a day with questions. They would always go well out of their way to find the answers and never made me feel like a burden. Each time I go into the office, the admissions team makes me feel like I am part of their family and they have played an instrumental role in the survival of my first year in law school.

Give one fun fact about yourself.
I am on the Junior Varsity League of Legends team for Florida State University.

Why did you become a student ambassador?
As a prospective student, the thought of law school can be daunting and as a student ambassador I enjoy being able to give these students some peace of mind by showing them the values and community at FSU Law. The supportive and exciting atmosphere here is truly unlike any other school and as a potential student it is very comforting to know that no one here wants anyone else to fail.
