Why did you choose the College of Law?
I chose Florida State Law because of the inviting and collaborative culture I experienced when interacting with professors and students during my visit. On my tour it was clear that everyone at the law school wanted me to succeed and would do anything to make that happen. I believe Florida State Law makes my success a higher priority than any other law school would have.

How have you interacted with our alumni network?
My experience with the alumni network has been great. I have contacted nearly all alumni working in Michigan and each of them are happy to assist me in any way. Many alumni have asked to meet for lunch when I return home for breaks. It is comforting to know that the alumni are also invested in our success during and after law school.

Which administrative office and/or professor has been particularly helpful to you during your time at the College of Law?
The Office of Career Services and Professional Development has been very helpful by assisting me with my legal resume and cover letters and by connecting me with individuals with whom I can speak to about my legal areas of interest.

Give one fun fact about yourself.
I was a lifeguard on Lake Michigan before coming down to Florida and it has been an adjustment getting used to swimming in saltwater when going to the beach.

Why did you become a student ambassador?
I truly enjoy telling prospective students all of the great things that FSU Law has to offer. Coming from a small undergraduate school in northern Michigan, I particularly enjoy speaking with out-of-state students as I feel I can make a true connection with them. I was very involved in my undergraduate institution and enjoy the opportunity that being a student ambassador gives me to further my on campus involvement here at FSU Law.
