Why did you choose the College of Law?
I chose Florida State Law because even before I applied, every interaction felt genuine! Students seemed to enjoy their experience, spoke highly of their classes and professors, and had a strong sense of camaraderie. I know that law school is stressful by nature, but I wanted to be in an environment that would help alleviate at least some of it!

What do you feel is unique about Tallahassee?
Tallahassee feels like the mecca of Florida for all kinds of law practice and I have been provided with so many opportunities to be exposed to these options through numerous networking events at the College of Law.

How have you interacted with our alumni network?
Most of my interaction with alumni has been through my participation in student organizations and networking events. Alumni have been incredibly friendly and my interactions with them have led to invitations to attend events at law firms as well.

What has been the best experience you have had at the College of Law thus far?
Being a part of the Black Law Students Association Mock Trial Team has been the best experience I have had at the College of Law. It has been the good kind of challenge where I get to do something I love (argue) and improve on my ability to defend my position.

Which professor has been particularly helpful to you during your time at the College of Law?
Everyone has been helpful, but my Civil Procedure professor, Professor Tahirih Lee, went above and beyond, both in and out of class, to make sure I understood the material.

Give one fun fact about yourself.
I have lived on three continents!

Why did you become a student ambassador?
I had a great experience with each and every contact I had with a student ambassador at Florida State Law while I was in the process of deciding which school to attend. It was a major factor in my choice, so I'm sure it is with others as well. As a result of this, I want to do my part to help promote the school and share my own positive experiences with students on the fence.
