The University of the West Indies (Mona Campus), Jamaica
The University of the West Indies (UWI) is the highest ranked institution in the Caribbean and is made up of three campuses that span across the Caribbean. The Faculty of Law is located at the Mona Campus in Kingston, Jamaica. Students who go on exchange at UWI will gain knowledge and a set of new skills from experiencing a different common law legal system. In return, students will be more competitive in the legal market, especially those who are interested in pursuing an international legal career. UWI also offers a rich series of courses on international law, international human rights law, and on various specialized legal systems of the Caribbean region, such as economic integration, environmental law, and human rights law. Students interested in legal careers relating to the Caribbean, which is a common transnational focus in Florida, will benefit from these courses.
