Rosemary O’Shea passed away on April 25, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. O’Shea joined Baker Law as an associate in 1982 and became a partner in in 1991. Rosemary was a business lawyer who uniquely practiced in two distinct disciplines- real estate and employment law- and was widely respected as an expert in both areas. O’Shea also regularly advised clients on fair housing and ADA issues and hospitality industry matters. O’Shea will always be remembered for her incredible humor, her love of good scotch, her disdain of computers, her somewhat messy office and her fancy and colorful sunglasses and jewelry. Jim Towey headshotJim Towey recently published a book, To Love and Be Loved: A Personal Portrait of Mother Teresa (Simon & Schuster). Towey served as legal counsel and friend to the saint during the last 12 years of her life, and he has written her biography. He continues to provide pro bono legal assistance to her Missionaries of Charity and its 46 missions in the United States, as well as its Calcutta headquarters. Posted 1.27.23


Albert C. Penson passed away on March 21, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was an attorney in Tallahassee for more than 30 years. Posted 4.5.18

He also was selected as a 2017 Florida Super Lawyer. He practices in the areas of commercial real estate and secured/real estate lending. Posted 8.21.17
