Gordon A. Dieterle of Peter M. Feaman, P.A. was selected to be chair of the 15th Judicial Nominating Commission, effective August 4, 2023. Posted 8.24.23

Pamela Gayle Davis passed away on February 5, 2023. Davis, a native Floridian from Hollywood, Florida, was a mother, a sister, a friend, a lawyer, a career prosecutor, and an FSU College of Law alumna. She attended Florida State University for both her undergraduate degree and for law school. She remained an enthusiastic FSU football fan for the remainder of her life and was often heard each August discussing how the team looked for the new season. In 1991, she became an assistant state attorney in the Ninth Judicial Circuit and began a career that would span more than the next three decades, and she was the first human trafficking ASA in the circuit, the first Black female sex crimes and homicide prosecutor in the circuit, as well as one of the first few Black supervisors in the office. Posted 4.10.23

D. Keith Wickenden has joined Gunster as a shareholder in their Naples office. Wickenden focuses his practice in the areas of business litigation, and probate, trust & guardianship litigation. Posted 1.6.23

William "Bill" R. Lewis is now a fellow of the American College of Coverage Counsel (ACCC), the preeminent association which represents the interests of insurers and policyholders in disputes arising out of insurance policies. Posted 9.10.21

 

Gordon A. Dieterle was sworn in as president of the South Palm Beach County Bar Association by the Honorable Louis Delgado on May 15, 2021. Posted 5.24.21

Gordon A. Dieterle was re-appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to serve another four-year term on the 15th Judicial Nominating Commission for Palm Beach County, with the new term running through July 1, 2024. Dieterle was also selected to be vice chair of the 15th Judicial Nominating Commission, effective July 1, 2020. Dieterle is a partner at The Law Offices of Peter M. Elizabeth Siano Harris was awarded a Florida Bar Pro Bono Award for the 18th Judicial Circuit. Harris practices at Harris Appellate Law Office, handling both state and federal appeals throughout the State of Florida. Posted 1.20.21

The Honorable Nina Ashenafi-Richardson will be the featured speaker at FSU’s fall commencement ceremony on Saturday morning, December 14, 2019. Ashenafi-Richardson has served as a judge in the Leon County Court system since 2008 and was the recipient of the 2019 Distinguished Judicial Service Award presented by the Florida Supreme Court and The Florida Bar. Castor_Kathy.jpgKatherine "Kathy" A. Castor was named chair of the newly created Select Committee on the Climate Crisis in December 2018. The committee is a bipartisan group of U.S. House representatives charged with developing a comprehensive policy report and proposals to reduce carbon pollution and promoting a clean energy economy. Posted 5.2.19

 

Brett "Ben" A. Rogers is now the general counsel of Primerica, Inc. in Duluth, GA. He previously practiced at Rogers & Hardin, LLP in Atlanta for 28 years. Posted 5.2.19

Kenneth E. Lawson will serve as executive director of the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity. He was appointed by Governor-elect Ron DeSantis. Lawson is currently the president and chief executive officer of VISIT FLORIDA. Posted 12.19.18

Kenneth E. Lawson was named the cryptocurrency advisor for Florida by chief financial officer Jimmy Patronis. In this role, he will lead efforts to identity a cryptocurrency chief and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure innovation and economic development are at the forefront, while getting ahead of potential fraud. Matthew R. Cohen is an equal opportunity officer at the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and Professional Standards in Broward County. He helps to enforce Broward County's Human Rights Act and Fair Housing laws. He also regularly speaks on enforcement of civil rights laws and he recently attended the bi-annual National Fair Housing Conference at the HUD headquarters in Washington, D.C. He previously served as a senior assistant county attorney in Broward County, Charlotte County assistant county attorney, and most recently, as general counsel to Geoskope International in Los Angeles, CA. Posted 12.11.17
