Terry Russell passed away from cancer on February 28, 2023. Graduating in December 1968, he was a member of the College of Law's charter class, and had been devoted to the law school, and very active in the alumni organization and network. He was also a passionate fan of the Florida State football program. Russell was always grateful to the law school for the opportunity to become a lawyer, and along with his wife Mary Kay, counted their time in Tallahassee as the happiest years of their lives. William “Walter” Grace Jr. has joined Green Schoenfeld & Kyle LLP, a law firm specializing in estate and business planning, probate and corporate law. Grace’s areas of expertise include real property, probate and trust. Prior to joining the firm, he practiced as a solo attorney with a Southwest Florida comprehensive full-service law firm and, most recently, a Fort Myers trial law firm. John R. Dowd, Sr. passed away on November 8, 2020. He served as county attorney for Okaloosa County for over forty years, and assisted the County Commission in negotiating countless contracts to improve the quality of life of the citizens of Okaloosa County. Posted 12.17.20
Lyman T. Fletcher passed away on February 11, 2020. Fletcher was an Atlantic Beach commissioner from 1991 to 1994 and mayor from 1994 to 1997. Posted 2.20.20
Austin L. Jackson passed away on December 27, 2018. He practiced in Orlando for more than 30 years and taught Government at Valencia Community College. Posted 9.5.19
Stephen W. Buckley celebrated 50 years with Goldstein, Buckley, Cechman, Rice & Purtz, P.A. in Fort Myers in June 2019. He assists clients with wills, trusts, estate planning, probate, real estate and real property law cases. He and his wife, Bonnie, celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in August 2019.
